1. Introduction
GigNivo provides tools for gig drivers to track earnings, mileage, expenses, trips, and profitability information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the GigNivo Android app (the “App”), the website at gignivo.com (the “Website”), and the Website’s calculator.
2. Information We Collect
Account and subscription information
The App does not require or create a separate GigNivo user account. If you subscribe, Google Play Billing processes the transaction. The App may receive subscription product and purchase-status information from Google Play to verify access to subscription features. GigNivo does not receive your full payment card number through Google Play Billing.
Trip and activity information
Information you enter or record in the App may include earnings, expenses, mileage, trip details, platform labels, shift times, vehicle costs, and related profitability calculations. GPS tracking can create location points and trip distances. These records are stored in the App on your device. GigNivo does not operate an account or server that receives your trip history.
Website and calculator information
The Website calculator performs calculations in your browser. The values you enter are not sent to GigNivo’s application server. When you visit the Website, the delivery and hosting systems may process technical request information such as network address, requested page, date and time, response status, browser user-agent, and referrer information for site operation and security. If you email support, we receive the email address and message you choose to send.
3. How We Use Information
The App uses information stored on your device to provide its features, calculate earnings and profitability metrics, display trip and shift history, and improve your experience. Google Play subscription status is used to verify access to subscription features. Website request information is used to deliver, troubleshoot, and protect the Website. Support messages are used to respond to your request.
4. Location Data
If you grant location permission and use GPS tracking, GigNivo uses device location to record trip routes and calculate mileage. GPS recording runs during an active shift when tracking is enabled and stops when the shift ends or tracking is stopped. Location permission can be changed or revoked in your Android device settings. Some map screens may use your current location or locally saved route points to display a map.
Recorded GPS points and trip history are stored in the App on your device and are not uploaded to a GigNivo server. When map features are used, the Google Maps SDK may process map requests and the technical information described in Google’s SDK disclosures. See Google Maps SDK for Android data disclosures.
5. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google Play displays the available subscription, price, and offer terms and handles payment processing. GigNivo does not directly process or receive your full payment card information. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Data Sharing
GigNivo does not sell or rent personal data and does not share personal data for advertising profiling. We do not use your trip or earnings records for advertising. Information is processed by Google services when needed for Google Play Billing, device location services, or Google Maps features, and by Website delivery or hosting providers to deliver and secure the Website. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users and the service.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Play Billing for subscriptions, Google Play services for device location, and the Google Maps SDK for map features. Google’s SDKs may process technical information such as device and request metadata, IP address, SDK identifiers, crash metrics, or map interaction events, as described in Google’s current Maps SDK disclosure and Privacy Policy. The Website uses Cloudflare for DNS, proxying, delivery, and security; Cloudflare may process network and request information under its Privacy Policy. The Website’s hosting server also maintains access and error logs for operation and security.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information under our control. App records are stored locally on your device, and the App does not upload trip history to a GigNivo server. Website connections use HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and device security is also affected by your device settings and protections.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
App records remain on your device until you delete them in the App or remove the App, subject to your device’s behavior. You can use the App’s “Delete all local data” control to remove locally stored records. If you export or back up information, you control those files and their later deletion. Because GigNivo does not receive your trip history, we cannot remotely erase those local records. You may contact [email protected] for help with a privacy or deletion request. Website security logs are retained as reasonably needed for operation, troubleshooting, and security; retention may depend on hosting-provider settings.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App and Website are not intended for children below the minimum age applicable to digital services or data-processing consent in their jurisdiction. Children should not use the App or provide personal information through the Website. If you believe a child has sent personal information to GigNivo, contact us so we can review the request.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App or Website after an update means the updated policy applies to future use, subject to applicable law.
